US Citizenship Bill 2023 Presentation: Possibility of canceling the green card limit?

US May 12:In America, the Democratic Party has presented a new citizenship bill, and there is a possibility of dropping the green card distribution quota limit.

Washington: The ruling Democratic Party has introduced a new ‘citizenship bill’.

As a result of this, efforts are being made to drop the quota limit set for the countries for the issuance of green cards and to make necessary changes in the distribution of H1B visas.

Congresswoman Linda Sanchez, who introduced the US Citizenship Bill of 2023, said, “It includes guidelines for all 11 million undocumented immigrants to follow to obtain citizenship. It provides a path to citizenship for immigrants, TPS holders and certain farm workers. It also provides five years of citizenship by paying taxes without fear of deportation. “It provides a path forward. The bill proposes to make some changes to the employment-based immigration system by removing some of the country’s limitations,” he said.

The citizenship bill seeks to make it easier for those with degrees in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) subjects from US universities to stay in the country. Improves access to green cards for workers in low-wage industries. He said that H-1B holders will get jobs.

“The Citizenship Bill aims to reform the family-based immigration system. It will eliminate discrimination faced by LGBTQ families. It will protect orphans, widows and children. It will help make our economy better. It will focus on making our country’s borders more secure. As the daughter of parents who immigrated from Mexico, the US Citizenship Bill “I’m honored to be introducing a bold, transformative framework to fix our broken immigration system,” said Sanchez.

The most sought-after H1B visas are issued for three years at a time. The H-1B is a nonimmigrant visa that allows US companies to hire foreign workers who need theoretical or technical expertise. Tech companies that hire tens of thousands of employees every year from countries like India and China rely on this visa.
