Bengaluru Ap,24 : ‘Kaveri 2.0’ software has been implemented in the sub-register offices of the state.
So far Kaveri 2.0 software has been installed in all sub registrar offices of Chikkaballapur, Mandya, Kaluburagi, Belgaum, Bangalore city. The public is being served in a similar manner. By the end of June, the pros and cons will be studied and the loopholes will be rectified and it will be fully implemented by July, said Commissioner of State Registration and Stamps Department, Dr. B.R. Mamata said.
Practically, Kaveri 2.0 software has been implemented in Chincholi, Belgaum and Mandya Sub-Registrar Offices and a lot of improvement has been brought. Implemented in 293 Sub-Registrar Offices in a phased manner. The technical team has prepared the required software for this. In addition to this, new computers are being distributed to all offices. Awareness is being created to the public and on the web.
A one-day workshop was conducted on how to use the new software for the Nodal Officers, Technical Staff in all Sub-Registrar Offices and Advocates, Letter Writers, Public in Sub-Registrar Offices. Based on feedback from people about Kaveri 2.0, the software is being further simplified. Suggestions are being collected in this regard. Officials of the Registration and Stamps Department said that after reviewing the suggestions and opinions of the public gathered in the entire state, it has been decided to discuss what aspects should be implemented and make amendments.
25 registrations per day
It is estimated that a computer operator can register 25 documents per day with Kaveri 2.0 software. That means 100 documents will be registered in one office. The number will increase as the public and office staff learn to use the software.
Allow to reschedule
If you go to Kaveri 2.0 website and upload the documents, the sub-registrar will check and give approval. After that, register online and pay the stamp fee, cess, fix the date and time you want and submit the request, then the concerned computer operator will mark it. Go to the scheduled time, give photo and fingerprint, sign and complete the registration process in few minutes. In case of absence for the scheduled time, wait for 24 hours to reschedule and then book for the time available online.
