Bengaluru (Apr.06) : The BJP leaders, who are planning to tie the Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah in Varuna, are planning to field Housing Minister V. Somanna in this constituency.

Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah will contest as Congress candidate in Varuna assembly constituency. But to take on Siddaramaiah, the BJP is looking for a strong candidate. There are rumors that the BJP high command is thinking of fielding Minister V. Somanna against Siddaramaiah.

Varuna constituency has attracted the attention of the entire state in this state assembly election. Siddaramaiah, who has announced that this will be his last election, has chosen Varuna constituency to win his last election. But the ruling BJP, which is betting on defeating Siddaramaiah, has decided to field a strong candidate to defeat the opposition leader.
