Realty investment is a highly lucrative option that has been preferred by people for decades. Anybody with enough income to buy a property invariably considers investing in real estate. With the rising trend, there are attractive choices for investors that they can explore today. Indian realty is also very much in demand, and people are investing heavily here. The Indian realty market size was 120 billion U.S. dollars approximately in 2017 and is expected to touch one trillion dollars by 2030. The housing segment has maximum demand and is growing in the real estate sector. The properties with varied options are available in all price categories today across cities and the outskirts.

In a report, Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Assocham) Secretary-General D S Rawat said, “NRIs feel confident about the new government and expect more investment-friendly measures in various fields. Let us explore the top 5 reasons why young NRIs invest more in Indian realty.

1.Affordable real estate – Housing in India is much more affordable than in most developed countries. Purchasing a property here is the best way to invest one’s money. NRIs with disposable income invest not only in one property here in India but multiple properties and thus enhance their income manifolds.

2.Beneficial government schemes and policies – The government has incorporated many friendly schemes and policies for the NRIs, and foreign direct investments, which are an added boon for them, and they can invest directly without hesitation. The more flexible the schemes offer and options, the more the chances for offshore Indians to invest in our country.

3. The residential real estate sector in India has experienced exponential growth in the recent past. The profitability in the industry makes investment in reality in the country a good financial decision, especially for younger NRIs. This is a long-term financial asset that will definitely reap good rewards.

4. Real estate in India is still relatively affordable for young NRIs and is attracting increasing numbers of investors. The difference in the value of currency between India and their resident countries makes this a lucrative investment.
