Karnataka Assembly elections Voting from home will begin from today!

Bengaluru April.29: Candidates and star campaigners for Karnataka Assembly Election 2023 are loud. Meanwhile, voting for the assembly elections will begin from today, Saturday, April 29.

People above 80 years, differently abled are allowed to vote from home. Thus the Ballot Paper Voting process will start from tomorrow itself.

Information about this has already been released by the Election Commission. It has been said that from April 29 to May 6, the election staff will conduct the voting process by giving ballot paper to those above 80 years of age, disabled and differently abled.

Similarly, there are 12.15 lakh people above 80 years of age in the state. Election staff will go door to door to all of them from today and give ballot papers and conduct the voting process.

Still there are more than 2 lakh people above 80 years of age in Bangalore. Out of them 9,152 voters will cast ballot paper voting from home.
How will ballot paper voting be conducted?

Many are curious as to what ballot paper voting is all about as it begins today. This is a secret ballot system. In the presence of local police and election staff, senior citizens and disabled persons are allowed to vote on ballot papers.

Those above 80 years of age and those with special needs will cast their vote secretly and put it in the ballot box on the ballot paper provided by the election staff. This ballot box is kept in the strong room after voting.

On May 13 polling, these votes will be counted.
Paid leave for workers to vote on May 10

Dharwad: The Election Commission of India has scheduled the polling for the Karnataka Legislative Assembly General Election on Wednesday, May 10. Workers working in all factories, shops, commercial establishments and other establishments across the State on the said day shall be paid leave for eligible voters under Section 135 (b) of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 and Section 3 (a) of the Industrial Establishments (National and Festive Holidays) Act-1963.
