After the implementation of the Election Code of Conduct, the investigation agencies have so far seized hundreds of crores of rupees worth of cash, goods, liquor and other items.
Bengaluru: Various investigative agencies are working tirelessly to prevent election irregularities.

1.02 crore in Bangalore’s Pulakeshi Nagar assembly constituency yesterday (Monday). Drugs worth 2.05 kg were seized.
1.50 crore in BTM layout field. narcotics worth 2.67 kg and Rs 61.40 lakh in Bangalore City South Constituency. The Election Commission said in a press release that the cash has been confiscated. A total of 111.11 crores in cash, 22.33 crores Rs. Freebies of value are seized.

74.13 crore Rs. Liquor worth 19.62 lakh liters, Rs 21.13 crore. Narcotics worth 1,662.28 kg, Rs 76.05 crore. 149.42 kg gold worth Rs 4.48 crore. Silver worth 644.54 kg was seized. A total of Rs 80.53 crore. Valuable gold and silver items were found. A total of Rs 309.35 crore including cash and liquor. The commission has informed that valuable items have been seized.

2,390 FIRs, 69,825 weapons were deposited and 18 weapons were seized. 20 Arms license cancelled. 5,522 cases have been registered under the CrPC Act. Cover letters were obtained from 10,077 persons. The commission said 15,456 non-bailable warrants were executed.
Implementation of Code of Conduct from March 29: Whenever any election is announced in the country, the code of conduct for election is also announced. Political leaders, parties and everyone involved in the election process have to adhere to the code of conduct until the election results are out.
